2009 Manager of the Year Voting

Postby webmasterp » Sun Dec 27, 2009 5:40 pm

It's time again to vote for the Giencke.net FF Manager of the Year (MOTY).

For your consideration, this year's managers (by order of winningness) and MOTY credentials:

Women's Studies (2d place finish, amazing draft, great in-season moves, highest weekly score)
Prom Kings (league champion)
ShowMeUR TDs (o)(o) (great in-season moves, good draft, most regular season points)
The Ball Breakers (overcame poor trades to eek out 3rd place finish)
Beanie's Bitches (solid season, good trades)
DC United (overcame major injuries to finish in 4th place)
Knight Riders (great draft)
MG GUNDAMs (overcame tough draft to stay competitive)
Losingworsethandeath (overcame worst draft in league history to finish strong)
The B-Train (kept active on lineups even after knocked out of playoffs)

Also, this is the first time using the updated poll functionality, so in addition to updated graphics/etc, you can now change your vote if you have second thoughts.

And thus my vote for Pete is vindicated!

Somebody pulled their vote for me and gave it to Pete because he was given the victory by the NFL rules committee :-(

Shouldn't this voting be based on entire year performance and not the outcome of one game?

Wasn't me. I don't remember who I voted for, but I know I didn't change it.

The MOTY voting has ended, Tom (Women's Studies) is our 2009 Manger of the Year, congrats! Tom becomes a three-time winner, taking the MOTY in 2004 and 2005 previously. And despite not winning the championship this year, Tom's team will go down as the deepest and most talented in league history, with studs at every position, both starting and on the bench. All that said, I look forward to seeing what Tom can do next year, now that he's the manager to beat.

Sounds like the league will have a lot of new blood next year so I'm sure it will be interesting.
